CUSTOMER CHARGE: Minimum charge per rate classification.This is a minimum charge billed to each meter to amortize the cost of metering equipment, service lines and other services that provide availability of electric service.

DEMAND/HP CHARGE: Total charge for KVA required, horse power connected, or peak kW used.This is the monthly charge for kilowatt demand for the highest kilowatt demand recorded over a 15 minute period. This charge pertains to some commercial accounts.

SECURITY LIGHT CHARGE: Monthly charge for those members renting a security light from Media EC. In addition to base charge for light, kWh usage is added depending on size of lamp installed.

POWER COST RECOVERY FACTOR (PCRF): Factor is calculated on a per kilowatt hour basis and is used to collect excess power costs above those covered in the base rate and varies month to month depending on cost of power and sales. PCRF is based on total estimated purchased electricity cost from all suppliers and divided by sales for the billing period. PCRF is also applied to kWh used for security lights.

FUEL COST ADJUSTMENT (FCA): Factor used to collect generation costs above those covered in base rate. Factor varies month to month depending on generation fuel cost. Factor is calculated on a per kilowatt hour basis.

DATE READ: The date you read your meter. Read meter as close to date you pay your bill as possible.
