Operation Round Up Applications Due

Medina EC’s Board of Directors approved the start of Operation Round Up®. An Operation Round Up Trust Committee was appointed and is made up of three Medina EC members from each of the three voting districts.

This program is designed to aid civic and non-profit organizations and families and individuals with monetary assistance for projects/programs that will enhance the quality of life for people living within and around Medina EC’s 17-county service area.

The funds come from members who voluntarily sign up to have their electric bills automatically “rounded up” to the nearest whole dollar. For instance, if your bill were $45.29, it would be “rounded up” to $46.00, with the additional 71 cents going to the Operation Round Up fund. Members can opt in and out of the program at any time by contacting their district office.

With the success of this program, we are proud to announce that Operation Round Up applications are being accepted. The application can be downloaded below or picked up at any local district office.

To be eligible to receive Operation Round Up grants, you must be a civic or non-profit organization or an individual or family who operates or resides within the 17-county service area. You do not have to be a member of MEC to be considered.

Applications will be reviwed and monies will be dispersed as determined by the Operation Round Up Trust Committee.

Future issues of the Texas Co-op Power will highlight the recipients of the first round of Operation Round Up grants.
