Electrical appliances are subject to power surges caused by lightning strikes, cars colliding with utility poles, limbs falling on electrical lines and power demand fluctuations within the home. Any of these occurrences could send uncontrolled electrical surges through any home’s wiring and damage appliances and electronic equipment you depend on.
To help prevent voltage surges from entering your home and doing damage, Medina EC offers a surge protection program where the cooperative supplies members with surge protection equipment for a monthly fee added to their bill. The surge protection program offered by the cooperative is through TESCO. You can learn more about TESCO and their products here. All warranties and product support are done through TESCO, not through the cooperative.
If you would like to sign up for surge protection for your home, sign and submit this application. The application can be scanned and emailed to Info@MedinaEC.org or mailed to Medina EC, Attn: Member Services, PO Box 370, Hondo, TX, 78861. The cost is $6.64 per month, plus applicable taxes and fees.
