Medina EC gives back to communities with donations of employee time, financial contributions and donations of goods. Since one of the cooperative principles is commitment to community, we find it important to stay involved in the communities we are a part of.
Scholarships
As part of our commitment to support the education of the members we serve, Medina EC awards scholarships to members who have a high school senior graduating or are adults pursuing higher education.
Youth Tour
More than 1,500 students from across the country, almost 150 of those being from Texas, take the one week trip to Washington, D.C. Texas students start their trip in Austin to tour the State Capitol before heading to our nation's capital.
Presentations & Programs
Medina EC offers free, fun and educational presentations for all ages and occasions to meet your needs. If you want us to visit your school or event, just email MyCoop@MedinaEC.org or fill out this request form at least one month in advance, to be considered.
Operation Round Up
Operation Round Up (ORU) is a program that gives back to members and organizations in need through the support of Medina EC members, employees and donors. Since inception in 2006, ORU has awarded more than $185,000.
Community Empowerment Program
The Community Empowerment Program (CEP) provides grants for capital improvement projects that support community and economic development within the 17 counties we serve.
