Cost Estimator

The only way to get an exact estimate for your new service is to apply for new service and pay the $100 engineering fee for one of our line designers to visit your location. After that visit, our line designer will be able to provide you with an accurate bid for your specific project.

Below are sample projects to help you get an idea on how much it might cost to establish new service that requires construction of power lines and the necessary equipment. These are only samples and the cost for your specific project may differ.

Residential/Rural

Sample 1

Description of Work: 

  • Install transformer pole, transformer and crossarm.
  • Install 30-foot low-tension span from an existing three phase distribution line to the transformer pole.
  • Install meter pole and meter with a 30-foot service wire from the transformer pole.

  • Install in-line pole to existing single phase distribution line with a guy wire.
  • Install transformer pole with a guy wire and transformer.
  • Install a 400-foot full-tension span from the in-line pole to the transformer pole.
  • Install meter pole and meter with an 80-foot service wire from the transformer pole.
