Medina Electric Cooperative is proud to announce that one of their own, Serapio Guzman, a journeyman lineman from the Uvalde office was chosen and recognized through the America’s Top Lineman® Recognition Program created by LogoStoreUSA to reward the Best of the Best Linemen in America.
Serapio was nominated by his supervisors, Greg Robinson and Mark Howard. Below is the nomination by them which ultimately resulted in Serapio’s recognition:
If we had to sum up in to one sentence what makes up Serapio the “Best of the Best – He’s knowledge, reliable, productive, dedicated and an example of the type of lineman and employee we expect and are proud to have on the Medina EC team.
But one sentence isn’t enough to thoroughly explain why Serapio is deserving of this award. Beyond excellence in his day-to-day duties, he keeps safety a priority. He’s a great leader who leads by example and has instructed several lineman trainings which often results in compliments for his knowledge and abilities. He is patient, which is critical when working in such a dangerous environment. He brings a positive attitude to his team. He’s reliable and is easy to get ahold of when help is needed after hours. Serapio also volunteers to support other co-ops when devastated by severe weather like Hurricane Harvey.
What is also important is how Serapio conducts himself outside of working hours. He takes his health seriously spending evenings working out and he makes his family a priority. Those things play into the well-rounded individual Serapio is.
Congratulations to Serapio Guzman on this honor. As part of his recognition, Serapio was gifted with America’s Top Lineman® branded items including an Urban Peak 48 Can Cooler, Rox Box Bluetooth Speaker, Bamboo Cutting Board, 30L Dry Bag, Trucker Style Cap & 120 Lumens Pocket Flashlight. Serapio is still in the running for a final cash prize which will be announced in January.
