All drive-throughs are being closed as of 5 p.m. on Friday, April 3. This is an effort to help members to comply with Gov. Abbott's stay-home orders. Members are being encouraged to pay online or over the phone, or utilize drop box if they must pay cash. Remember, disconnections are suspended through July 1
We have also made the decision to shift Medina EC crews away from new construction jobs as best we are able. This decision is being made because, in the construction process, it is difficult for crews to follow social distancing recommendations. The work requires them to work closely together. Right now, our focus is on keeping all our employees healthy so that they available if they are needed for storm response. Limiting our crews from doing new construction jobs will make that easier.
As a result of this, members who have new construction jobs in the queue or who are submitting applications for new construction could see delays. We are asking all members to communicate to us if the job can wait until after the pandemic or if it is a priority and needs to be done now.
