Medina Electric Cooperative, Inc. is requesting hourly labor and equipment rate proposals for prospective 2019-2020 Storm Restoration work. The contract will be for a 12-month period beginning June 1, 2019 and ending May 31, 2020.
The contract work will involve restoring power during a major outage event such as a storm, hurricane, tornado, etc. At such time the successful bidder will be responsible for repairing existing distribution system facilities including single and three-phase overhead and underground construction at both 7.2/12.5 kV and 14.4/24.9 kV operating voltage levels. Generally, the overhead conductor sizes will be 1/0 ACSR, 336 ACSR and 795 ACSR. All framing and construction practices will follow the Rural Utilities Services standards.
